About Us

Nandadeepa Education and Rehabilitation Society (NERS)

Our main focus is to work for the most marginalized groups in society. We follow an approach that is holistic & integrated to empower the participant beneficiaries in all spheres of their lives.

The organization was established in 1999 with the basic objective of education and rehabilitation of disabled children. The organization started its program by identifying the disabled in all government and private schools across Malur taluk of Kolar district, educating and rehabilitating them. It is impossible for severely handicapped children, especially mentally retarded children, to get education in regular schools . Keeping this in mind, a free residential special school for mentally retarded children was started in Malur. Today, social activities have been undertaken with the help of state and central government to enlighten the disabled children, women, elderly, orphans and communities who have been neglected by the society.

Programs held in past are as follows: 1. Bisyuta Yojana : (Hosakote Bangalore District) 2. Ksheera Bhagya Yojana : (Hosakote Bangalore District) 3. Free Boarding School for Mentally Retarded Children (Malur Kolar District) 4. Svandana Open Rest Center (Kolar, Kolar District) 5. Chaitanya Old Age Home : ( Kaiwara Chikkaballapur District ) 6. Ujwala Kendra : ( Kolar Kolar District) 7. Child Care Centers : (Gundlupet Chamarajanagar District) 8. Comfort Center : (Hoskote Bangalore Rural District) 10. Empowerment Training Scheme : (Kolar, Kolar District) All these programs are being promoted keeping social concerns in mind. Due to this, disabled people, women, children, and senior citizens, who are neglected by society, are now feeling to be the part of the society and through these programs, the organization is involved in its work to build a better and a healthier society.
